Rain..rain..and more rain...

So Wimbledon must be on its way then as the rain has started!! Luckily for me I have a cosy studio to work from.

I'm just in the middle of reviewing my website and whilst I work on the updates, I thought I'd post some new stuff to view right here. A set of textured designs, simple but lovely to look at:

These designs won't be available through The Home Art Studio website for a while, but if you like what you see, let me know - maybe order one, any colour, any size, now I can't say fairer than that can I?

You can catch me at: myart@thehomeartstudio.com, http://twitter.com/HomeArtStudio

Enjoy your day :0)

Inspiration at last..

At last, after looking/thinking/practicing for a good few days now, I have found my new inspiration in the form of Alexander Girard. An architect and Textile Designer (no wonder I feel inspired!) from New York. Fab patterns, textures and colours, take a look below:

Now someone please pass my paintbrushes - oh and put the kettle on - I feel like painting

Can you believe it is May 2011...

....reading back on some of my blog posts and I am aware that I seem to have written the same thing quite often - ie, 'it's been a long time since I last posted etc etc....' but it's true, the last one is dated 2009, can you believe that it is now May 2011!!!

Such a long time has passed, well I haven't been idle (not too much anyway) I have been busy building stock and creating new designs for both my home and kids website(s) which I will be sharing over the coming months.

I will try try try to keep all my blogs up to date, then I can write fun things instead of repeating myself.

So until next time, enjoy the sunshine (after all it is still only May....)

Take a painting, a camera and photoshop - and what do you get?
Some great images from different perspectives:
Designs in their own right:
Look what great effects you can achieve from simply selecting different areas?

New Week - Great Weather

So another hot one today :0).

Unfortunately my laptop has died, hopefully I will be able to retrieve the info off it, but who knows. So I'm using another laptop to post this update, then I am back to using paintbrushes and pens (just how I like it).

Don't forget to follow me on twitter ....

Nearly the weekend

BIG NEWS - for this week only I am offering 10% off all paintings in my Gallery at www.thehomeartstudio.com. Get there quick, take a look and bag a bargain.

I've also just realised how long it has been since I last blogged - well I can blame technical issues (b'cos that's true to a certain degree) but I've been Twittering and Social Networking like you wouldn't believe. It is a whole new world out there, and I quote from something I saw in an O'Neill's bar once - 'There are no strangers out there, just friends you haven't met yet'. And I have to say I've been pleasantly surprised at the feedback and help I have received. I am a convert :0).

Anyway, as it's nearly the weekend I thought I would post this link - just what we need on a hot day like this, if only it was in England: www.trazzler.com/trips/cooling-off-with-a-swim-in-a-sacred-yucatan-sinkhole

Enjoy the weekend - I'm off to see Take That.
